All libraries have ZoomText on public computers to magnify text. All libraries also have large type keyboards and roller-ball mice.
Talking Terminals / JAWS
Talking Terminals with JAWS screen reader software are available at Millennium Library at Special Services.
Text Magnifiers
Optelec electronic video magnifiers are also available at Millennium Library at Special Services.
DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) Readers
DAISY audiobooks are specifically designed for customers with print disabilities.
DAISY readers are also available for customers to borrow. With a DAISY reader, you can read a DAISY audiobook the same way you would read a print book.
DAISY audiobooks and readers are available at Millennium Library's Special Services at 204-986-6489, or can be placed on hold for pickup at any library through the online catalogue.
Daisy readers are available for a loan period of 84 days (12 weeks).
Only customers with a print disability as defined in the Canadian Copyright Act can borrow DAISY books and readers. Customers can register for a library card with Print Disability status. Contact Special Services at 204-986-6489.
