Eligibility
Definition and Criteria
Only customers with print disabilities as defined in Section 32 of the Canadian Copyright Act can borrow DAISY books and readers and register for NNELS. A print disability is defined as the following:
- Learning disability: An impairment relating to comprehension.
- Physical disability: The inability to hold or manipulate a book.
- Visual disability: The severe or total impairment of sight or the inability to focus or move one's eyes.
Customers can add Print Disability status to their library account by completing a Request for Print Disability (English / French) at any branch. For any additional questions, contact Special Services at 204-986-6489.
