As of Monday, June 8, Millennium Library, Henderson Library, and Pembina Trail Library will reopen for holds pick-up service only. All holds that were ready for pickup prior to the closure are currently being moved. You will be advised when they are ready for pickup. Eligibility

Definition and Criteria

Only customers with print disabilities as defined in Section 32 of the Canadian Copyright Act can borrow DAISY books and readers and register for NNELS. A print disability is defined as the following:

  • Learning disability: An impairment relating to comprehension.
  • Physical disability: The inability to hold or manipulate a book.
  • Visual disability: The severe or total impairment of sight or the inability to focus or move one's eyes.

Customers can add Print Disability status to their library account by completing a Request for Print Disability (English / French) at any branch. For any additional questions, contact Special Services at 204-986-6489.
