Welcome to the ideaMILL
The ideaMILL makerspace, located on the 3rd floor of the Millennium Library, offers community access to new and emerging technologies in a collaborative space. Tinker, collaborate, create, and learn new skills.
What is a Makerspace?
A Makerspace is a place in which people with shared interests can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.
Here at the ideaMILL you'll be able to access:

Get Started
The ideaMill strives to be an open and welcoming environment to everyone, regardless of skill level or knowledge. If you're curious, like to tinker, or just want to hang out with like-minded people, come visit us and see what we're up to!
Before you come down please review the ideaMILL Guidelines (Version française).
A signed waiver form is required to use ideaMILL equipment. Paper copies of the waiver forms are available at the ideaMILL for you to review and sign. If you prefer, you can also review, print, and bring the signed form with you.

3D Printing
3D printers are available for public use with ideaMILL staff assistance. To ensure that your print has the best chance of success and quality, staff will execute print jobs on your behalf.
Before submitting a print job please review our Acceptable Use of 3D Printers and Scanners (Version française).
We have two Ultimaker 3 printers that can print your designs using a variety of materials and colours.
Print queue is currently closed.
Resources
Thingiverse is a website where users upload their designs to share with others. This is a great place to explore what possibilities are out there.
TinkerCAD is a free 3D design program that runs in your web browser. It has great tutorials to help you get started in the world of 3D design.
Equipment & Software
The ideaMILL has a wide variety of equipment available for public use. No prior skills required. Simply come down, hang out, learn a new skill, and share your expertise! Staff are not experts but are happy to introduce you to our equipment.
