Collections and Programs
Items for loan include Adult and Children's fiction and non-fiction, graphic novels, magazines, music, audiobooks, video games (Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Wii & Switch) and movies (DVDs and Blu-ray). As a branch of Winnipeg Public Library, members can also access an extensive eLibrary for downloadable eBooks, eMagazines, information resources and online journals, and streaming movies and music.
Osborne Library and Henderson Library offer Seed Libraries in the fall (deposit seeds) and in the spring (borrow seeds). Seed Libraries encourage gardening and local food production. The Osborne Seed Library operates in partnership with The People Garden of Sustainable South Osborne. Learn more about Seed Libraries. Note: The Henderson Seed Library is on hiatus until Fall 2022.

Facility and Services
Osborne Library is located in the Fort Rouge Recreation and Leisure Centre. The Library has bookable computers with MS Office and Internet access, and free WiFi. There are tables for studying. Photocopying and printing is available for a fee. Scanning to email is free.
For your convenience, there is an after-hours book return on the front of the building.
History
Osborne Library opened in 1941 in a storefront at 719 Osborne followed by a move in 1957 to 700 Osborne. In 1982, 150 children from local schools took part in a book brigade to move books to the new location two blocks down the street at the Fort Rouge Recreation and Leisure Centre. The 4,120 sq.ft. library was renovated in 2010.
