History
The first Charleswood Library was opened in 1964 in Dieppe School. In 1966, the Library moved to the former municipal building of the Rural Municipality of Charleswood. In 1976, Charleswood Library joined the Winnipeg Public Library system, and an expansion of the building completed in 1983 brought its size to 4,914 sq. ft. - one of the smallest branches in the system. In 2014, work began on a new 13,215 sq. ft. library. The new Charleswood Library opened on January 19, 2015.
