Winnipeg Public Library has subscribed to a popular new service from DearReader.com - online book clubs. Sign up by clicking on the Online Book Clubs logo (left) and each day you will receive a five minute excerpt of a selected book. By the end of the week, you would have read 2-3 chapters of the book. If you'd like to finish the book, check the Library's catalogue for the title's availability. Every Monday a new title begins for you to enjoy. With seven book clubs to choose from there is something for everyone. Subscribers can choose from fiction, non-fiction, mystery, science fiction, good news, or teen clubs. An audio book club provides five minute audio excerpts from recent audiobooks. Want to let everyone know what you thought of a book? Leave a message on the accompanying Online Book Club Discussion Forum.

You may join as many clubs as you like. There is no cost to join and you will receive a welcome message from the club shortly after subscribing.The Winnipeg Public Library Online Book Clubs are available to anyone with an email address, anywhere. You can subscribe and easily unsubscribe at any time. If you do not currently have an email account, you can sign up for an account from one of the many free email services such as yahoo.ca or hotmail.com using the Library's Internet computers.
