February 3: The West End Library has started moving into its fabulous new home in the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex at 999 Sargent Ave., just 1.3 km from its current Ellice Ave. location. As workers put the finishing touches on the building, Library staff are installing new computer workstations, moving in new tables and chairs, putting up new shelving, and purchasing new materials for the opening-day collection.

CLOSURE AT OLD LOCATION
The West End Library will close on Tuesday, February 10 at 8:30 p.m. For your convenience, the book chute will remain open until February 18. Materials that normally would be due February 11 - 21 instead will be due at the new location February 23. They can also be returned to any of the Library’s 19 other branches. Please note that library items can be renewed at any time from our website or by phone (986-4657). During the closure, materials held for West End Library users will be available for pick up at the Millennium Library, 251 Donald St.

GRAND OPENING AT NEW LOCATION
The Grand Opening of the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, including the new West End Library, is planned for the morning of Friday, February 20.
