Search 19 major Canadian daily newspapers including the Winnipeg Free Press (full-text starting April 29, 2006: indexing only from January 1982 to December 1996) and the Globe and Mail (full-text starting 1977) - updated daily.

Also contains over 30 Canadian and international newspapers including the Winnipeg Free Press (dating from July 2004, with a two day delay). Includes biographies, an image collection and a Canadian dictionary.

You can create your own portfolio for your resume and education plans. The Government of Manitoba provides the Library's access to this database. Freegal Music is a new online music downloading service. It includes the entire Sony Music catalogue of over 450,000 songs as well as Sony's 200 - 300 weekly new releases. Freegal also includes 12,000 music labels (700 Canadian) and almost 3 million songs from the Independent Online Distribution Alliance (IODA). Freegal is both PC and Mac friendly. All songs are Digital Rights Management (DRM) - free MP3 files. Files can be burned to a compact disc or transferred to another device such as an MP3 player / iPod.
