There are many sites on the Internet where you can set up a free email account. While library staff may not be able to assist customers in using these accounts, setting one up should be fairly straightforward. Each email site will provide instructions on how to create and use an account.

Lycos Mail is the full service email/instant messenger system affiliated with the Lycos search service.

Mail Excite
This service is powered by WhoWhere, the web e-mail search engine & directory. Full service email accounts are available.

Yahoo! Mail
Yahoo's freemail service is another popular site offering standard e-mail features & customizing options.
