. Book Club Kits

Book Club Kits are for use for book clubs wanting the convenience of a pre-packaged bag complete with 10 copies of a book, a discussion guide including reviews and suggested questions and additional information for running a successful book club. We have many titles to choose from, including titles in French and several that are also suitable for teen clubs.

You can search the catalogue using the term book club kit for a list of kits. Select a title to check its availability. You can also drop in to Reader Services at Millennium Library. Kits may be sent to your local branch by placing requests in our catalogue, much as any other library material. Library staff can also help you place a request. You cannot reserve a kit for a specific date. For an annotated, printable list of book club kit titles, click here.

Your book club members may find additional copies of titles through our catalogue. There may also be copies of titles available in the browsing paperback collections at your library, as well as large type editions. These additional copies are subject to the normal library lending periods - typically three weeks. Visit or phone your local library, or search the catalogue to place requests.

bullet Can I get a Readers Guide without the kit?
Yes. If there is a book you don’t need copies of, but would like to see the Readers’ Guide for, the Library will provide you with a copy. You can request a Readers Guide by calling 986-6779 or by email here.

bullet How can I suggest a title to be added to the kits?
We are always interested in feedback on the kits and suggested titles. Contact Readers Services, Millennium Library, by email here or by phone at 986-6779.
