Books all over the house? We can help.
The Friends Annual Used Book Sale last fall was the most successful yet. So we are once again busy collecting books for next October's sale. Your gently used books will be welcomed and can be dropped off at any Winnipeg Public Library branch. We welcome all categories, but can't accept textbooks, older computer manuals, encyclopedias and most magazines (exceptions: art & architectural, home décor, cooking, literary).
Please clearly label your bags or boxes 'FRIENDS'. We can arrange for pick-up if needed: phone 204-488-3217.
We also operate the Best of Friends Gift Shop at the Millennium Library -- click here to learn more about this unique little store.
Proceeds from all Friends Fundraising events benefit Winnipeg Public Library projects. Recent projects supported by Friends Fundraising events include the Writer-in-Residence, Spring and Summer Reading programs for children, and Obie's Chair in the storytelling area of the Millennium Library.
