A Context for Financial Giving
Winnipeg Public Library has enjoyed generous community support for over a hundred years. However, with today's rising costs and decreasing budgets, the Library has found it increasingly difficult to meet the public's needs. Therefore, Winnipeg Public Library is looking for other sources of funding to maintain and improve its book collections.
Your Gift to Us
Please consider a donation to your public library. Your gift, large or small, will help us buy new books and other materials, thereby enhancing our community's quality of life. We also accept donations:
* in memory of a friend or relative
* in honour of special occasions
* from estate bequests
A Gift To Share
Your donation will do more than put additional books on the shelf. Your gift will help others gain:
* basic life skills through literacy
* current information in a changing world
* fulfillment when reading with children
* an appreciation of the world's cultures
Our Gift To You
When you contribute to your Library's future, you will receive:
* a tax receipt for all donations over $10
* recognition in a Library publication
* media coverage when appropriate
