"I saw in the Library’s newsletter a call for volunteers for the Library Board and Library Advisory Committees. I wanted to help because I have used and respected the Library for years, and I am a member of the Friends of the Winnipeg Public Library.

I am the former editor of the Journal of the Canadian Association of Radiologists and the co-author of a planned biography of William Clifford Clark, federal Deputy Minister of Finance (1932-1952). These experiences all highlight the essential role of libraries. Having served as president of three medical societies, I love public service."
