“My earliest memories of libraries are of the excitement of visiting bookmobiles and the amazing array of books that could be borrowed. Since then books and libraries have been a consistent part of my life, helping frame who I am and how I view the world. I joined the Winnipeg Public Library Board because I believe that libraries play a critical role in the life of a community. As the Executive Director of The Salvation Army's Winnipeg Booth Centre, every day I see individuals who find themselves at the margins of our society, but who can find in the libraries of our community a valuable resource that is available to all our residents.”
